This charming place was a very small village with few inhabitants. Once ‘discovered’, many people built villas in the surrounding hills, but this beautiful area still retains its original character. Unlike the big resort some miles away this unspoilt seaside town does not have any high-rise hotels or buildings, therefore Moraira does not appear in the large travel brochures. Although there is still a fishing harbour, the town itself has grown and now has a large marina where vessels are betted all year round. The Club Nautica at the far end of the marina welcomes visitors to eat or take refreshments on the terrace with prices being much the same as local beach bars and restaurants. Moraira is ideal for that well earned holiday.
